Free and low-cost women’s fitness in Wandsworth
For a lot of women, the thing standing between them and moving their body is not motivation. It is money, and whether the room was built for them. So we kept the cost low or none, and the welcome real.

If even £5 is too much, you still come
Some weeks the money is there and some weeks it is not. We know. We hold free and reduced-cost places for women who need them, and asking for one does not mean filling in a form or explaining your situation to a room full of strangers.
A quiet word, in person or on WhatsApp, is enough. The point was never to make a woman prove she deserves an hour to herself.

Made for women who were priced out of looking after themselves
We start with Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic women, and every woman in Wandsworth is welcome. You do not need to be fit, or confident, or know a single face in the room. No gym membership, no kit, no experience.

The cost questions
Is it really free?
The Friday Weekly Walk in Battersea Park is free, every week, no catch. Our Fitwell class is £5, and Communi-TEA is £3. If even that is too much right now, tell us and we will sort it out quietly. No form, no proving anything.
What if I can't afford the £5 class?
Then you still come. We hold free and reduced-cost places for women who need them, and asking for one does not mean explaining your circumstances to anyone. A quiet word is enough.
Do I need any kit or experience?
No. No special clothes, no equipment, no fitness level required. Comfortable clothes you can move in, and whatever pace your body wants that day.
Where in Wandsworth are the sessions?
Fitwell is at Kambala Community Hall, 126 Fawcett Cl, SW11 2LQ, on Mondays. The Weekly Walk meets in Battersea Park, SW11, on Fridays. Communi-TEA moves around local venues across Wandsworth, and the venue comes with each event announcement.
