Why refer here

A soft landing, not a waiting list

She can come to the next session that week. Nothing to pass, nobody to convince.

How to refer

No form, just a warm handover

Pick whatever is easiest for her. All we need is her first name and how she would like us to get in touch.

1

Tell her about us

The simplest referral. Pass on our WhatsApp number and let her message in her own time, when she feels ready.

2

Message or email us

Send us her first name and how she would like to be contacted. We reach out gently and let her set the pace.

3

Walk her in

If she would feel safer arriving with someone, a support worker or family member is welcome to come along the first time.

For family & friends

Worried about your mum, sister or neighbour?

You do not have to be a professional to refer. If there is a woman in your life who has gone quiet, who never seems to do anything for herself, this is a soft place to point her. Message us and we will reach out gently, or bring her along yourself the first time.

However she arrives, she will be expected, welcomed, and never made to explain herself.

Good things to know

Referral questions

Is there a cost for the woman I refer?

The Friday Weekly Walk in Battersea Park is free. The Monday Fitwell class is £5, and Communi-TEA is £3. If cost is a barrier, we hold free and reduced-cost places, no proof or paperwork needed. Nobody is turned away for money.

Do you have a waiting list?

No. A woman you refer can come to the very next session that week. There is no assessment to pass and no queue to join. She turns up, or messages us first if she would rather know a face before she arrives.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in Wandsworth and serve women across the borough, including Battersea, SW11 and the surrounding areas. Sessions run at Kambala Community Hall in SW11 and in Battersea Park.

Who is it for?

Women aged 18 and over. We are centred on Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic women, and every woman is welcome. It suits women who are isolated, low in mood, new to the area, or priced out of mainstream wellbeing.

How do I refer someone?

There is no formal form. Tell her about us and pass on our WhatsApp number, or message or email us yourself with her first name and how she would like to be contacted. We take it from there with a warm, unhurried welcome.

Do you have safeguarding in place?

Yes. We are a registered Community Interest Company with safeguarding and other policies in place. You can read more on our governance page, and raise anything with us directly.
