Her Way Forward CIC

Governance and transparency

How we are structured, who leads us, and how you can hold us accountable.

Legal structure

Who we are legally

Her Way Forward is a Community Interest Company, registered in England and Wales.

CIC No. 16948255

What CIC status means

Community benefit

We exist for the benefit of the community, not for private profit. Our purpose is written into our legal constitution and cannot be changed without regulatory approval.

Asset lock

Our assets are locked for community use. If we ever dissolve, any remaining assets must be transferred to another community benefit organisation, not distributed privately.

Surplus reinvested

Any surplus income is reinvested into our programmes and community work. It does not go to shareholders or directors as personal profit.

How we operate

Governance highlights

The principles that guide how we run our organisation.

01

Community benefit mission

Our sole purpose is improving wellbeing and connection for women in Wandsworth. Every decision is measured against that mission.

02

Statutory asset lock

Our assets are legally protected for community use. The CIC Regulator oversees compliance with this requirement.

03

Safeguarding commitment

We maintain a current safeguarding policy reviewed annually. All team members and volunteers are briefed on their responsibilities.

04

Transparent reporting

We file annual accounts and a CIC34 report with Companies House and the CIC Regulator. These are available to anyone who asks.
